Poster of Int’l Quds Day Unveiled

IQNA – The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) has designed the poster of this year’s International Quds Day.

The poster was unveiled during a ceremony attended by WFPIST Secretary General Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Shahriari and a number of other officials. 

This poster, designed with the slogan “O Al-Quds, We Are Committed to Our Pledge!” features the design of the Al-Aqsa Mosque as a symbol of Al-Quds, surrounded by the flags of Muslim countries around the dome, which is at the center of the galaxy.

This year’s International Quds Day will fall on Friday, March 28.

The International Quds Day is among the legacies of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, who is revered as a spiritual leader by Muslims across the world.

Back in 1979, shortly after leading an Islamic Revolution which toppled the US-backed Shah of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini named the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan the Quds Day.
